My journey through movement…
I move in a variety of ways:
dancing, strength training, pilates, biking, cooking, weeding, running around with my niece and nephews…
My movement practices are continuously growing and shifting. I began studying movement at a very young age in ballet and modern dance classes. I went on to study dance in college, obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance: Performance & Choreography from Ohio University.
In 2017, I moved to Brooklyn, NY where I danced professionally for many years and continued studying movement through a variety of lenses. I was a dancer, choreographer, teacher, nanny, and compost coordinator (smashing pumpkins for compost processing is still one of my favorite forms of movement).
I offer insight into strength training and pilates as a certified instructor. Through my study of pilates, I developed a deep understanding of the pelvic floor, which led me to become a certified pre- and postnatal strength coach. My approach to sharing movement is mindful and methodical, focusing on correct form and body alignment in order to develop body awareness and execute movements effectively. My practice embraces collaboration and client education so that you feel empowered to advocate for your needs — because you know your body best!
I currently live in Warren, OH, where I am available for movement sessions. I am also working towards becoming an Occupational Therapist (eventually becoming a Pelvic Floor Occupational Therapist).
